Physical Product Designer

We are looking for a physical product designer to join our team. At Design Group Italia  we work with a wide range of clients from different sectors, and you will be working on projects requiring and testing your different skills, in multidisciplinary collaboration with the design teams (space design, engineering, branding, digital, service design) within Design Group Italia to make these projects into full experiences. We seek individuals who can work in a team and have the desire to collectively contribute to the growth of the entire department in a proactive manner.

In this role, you will engage in various design activities such as user research, concept development, sketching, and prototyping. You will create and refine product aesthetics, ensuring they align with brand standards and customer expectations. Developing ergonomic and user-friendly designs that enhance the overall user experience will be a key focus. You should possess strong problem solving abilities, high attention to detail, and outstanding visualization skills.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2-3 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in product or industrial design.
• Confidence and skills in product design sketching and storyboard sketching.
• Proficiency in Rhinoceros 3D modeling and 3D rendering in KeyShot and Vray.
• Skilled in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), MS Office, Miro and Figma (a plus).
• Skills and knowledge of AI software and tools for image creation, animation or workflow optimization is a plus.
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English: we work with clients from all over the world, and our team is also made of people from different countries
• Passion for excellence with attention to detail.
• Capacity in ensuring the highest level of innovation, empathy, insight and creativity
• Proactive and professional approach to work, with strong organizational and time management skills – also under pressure.
• Excellent collaboration skills across various design disciplines, and ability to work and solve problems effectively and independently.
